Nicholas Jennings Cox, 38, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Nick was born March 27th 1987 in Morris, Illinois and lived in Lasalle County for most of his life.
Nick was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, riding UTVs, boating, mushroom hunting, hiking, and spending time with his family and friends. Those who knew Nick knew he was always up for lending a helping hand and brought laughter to every get together. Nick worked for the Local 150 Operators Union and continued a career in construction upon moving to Missouri in 2017.
Nick is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Barbara and Otto Tendall of Seneca, IL and paternal grandparents, Loraine and John Cox of Marseilles, IL.
Nick leaves behind an abundance of family including his fiancé Kelli Moore and their two beautiful children, Bryce and Kinsley Cox of Osage Beach, MO; his son, Spencer Carter of Pleasant Hill, MO; and his daughter, Chloe Thompson of Seneca, IL. He also leaves behind his mother, Suzanne Thompson (David Thompson) of Seneca, IL, his father, Jack Cox (Jennifer Legner) of Morris IL, his brother, Christopher Cox (Pamela), his sister, Caitlin Cox, his step brother, Dustin Legner (Brianna) along with all of his nieces and nephews and extended family of in-laws.
A celebration of life will be held on June 14, 2025, at the Elks Lodge in Osage Beach, Missouri at 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A memorial fund has been set up at Central Bank of Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 514 Highway 42, Osage Beach, MO 65065 (573) 348-3232. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.hedgesscottmillard.com.
