Nicholas Dimitriou, age 71, a longtime resident of Pelham, NH, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Marina (Rompie) Dimitriou with whom he enjoyed 35 years of marriage.
He was born in Pyli, Trikala, Greece on October 9,1953, and was the son of the late Theodoros and Alexandra (Tsigarida) Dimitriou.
Nicholas was raised in Pyli and finished high-school in Trikala, Thessaly. He went to the army and fought as a commander for the Greek Cypriot army in the Turkish-Cypriot war in 1974. Following the war he came to the United States, worked as a chef and then became a business owner of The River Road Caf in Tewksbury and then Dimitrious Family Restaurant in Pelham, NH.
In addition to his loving wife, Nicholas is survived by his children Alexandra Dimitriou, Theodore Dimitriou of Pelham, NH, Aikaterini (Dimitriou) Bouloti and spouse Stylianos Boulotis and his beloved granddaughter Anna Boulotis of Salem, NH. He also leaves behind his twin brother Ioannis Dimitriou and spouse Anna Konstantina (Karmiri) Dimitriou; niece and goddaughter Alexandra Sophia (Dimitriou) Tourloukis and spouse Evangelos Tourloukis and their children Georgios Tourloukis and Anna Tourloukis of Lowell; and nephew Athanasios Sioras of Salem, NH.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 9:00am to 10:30am at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 1160 Mammoth Rd., Dracut followed by his funeral service at the church. Interment in Gibson Cemetery, Pelham, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Nicholas Dimitriou to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church.
