Nicholas John Feitz, known affectionately as Nick, passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on April 1, 1943, in The Bronx, New York. Nick led a distinguished life rich with varied experiences and deep connections.

A dedicated New York police officer, Nick spent many years serving his community with courage and integrity. His career also extended into telecommunications, where he contributed his skills and expertise to enhance communication systems. Throughout his life, Nick was defined not only by his work but by his unwavering spirit and zest for life.

He was a devoted family man, leaving behind his beloved wife, Eileen McKenna Feitz. Nick is survived by his children: John Francis Feitz (Tamara), Edward Joseph Feitz (Lisa), and Linda Ann Sanderson (David). He was a proud grandfather to Robyn Stolnack (Scott), Amanda Ralls, Sean Feitz (Sadie), Lauren Janowski (JT), Nicholas Sanderson, and MaKenna Sanderson. Nick also embraced the role of great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy.

Nick was well-known for his vibrant personality. A dedicated fan of the New York Giants, he enjoyed golf, playing cards, and annual trips to Las Vegas, where he cherished the thrill of adventure. His wanderlust took him around the world, yet he remained grounded and approachable. Truly, anyone who reached out to him would find an open ear and a warm heart; he had a remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met, never knowing a stranger.

A music lover at heart, Nick's enthusiasm was infectious. Family recounts fond memories of him joyfully engaging with children at family gatherings, often found in the midst of a pool filled with laughter and play. His candid nature and commitment to honesty were revered by those who knew him, and he will be remembered not just for his legacy as a family man, but for the good times shared with friends and loved ones.

Nick is predeceased by his siblings Elaine Thumbum (John) and Frank Feitz (Sharon), and by his parents, Nicholas and Mary Feitz, whose love and guidance laid the foundation for the man he became.

Visitation with family will be held on February 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cone Funeral Home, located at 1510 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42104.

Nicholas John Feitz leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
