Nicholas "Nick" Giannenakis, of Mansfield, MA, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the age of 59.

Born in Boston, MA, he was the cherished son of Afrodite (Psaltopoulos) Giannenakis, of Lesbos, Greece, and the late Evangelos Giannenakis of Crete, Greece. In 1972, his family moved to Greece, where Nicholas spent part of his childhood before returning to the United States in 1976.

He was the beloved brother of John Giannenakis and his wife Phyllis, and proud uncle to Irene Giannenakis, Christina Sullivan and her husband Ryan, along with their children J.D. and Ava. Nicholas will also be lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

His career began as a talented hair stylist at John Dellaria Hair Salon. He later went on to operate his own dry-cleaning business, following the footsteps of his parents, and more recently, working in the pizza industry.

A kind hearted soul, Nicholas had a deep love for his family and friends. He cherished the moments he spent with each and every one of them. As a passionate Boston sports fan, he especially enjoyed cheering for the Red Sox and Patriots. Nicholas was athletic and played in local recreational baseball games, and also loved fishing and golfing.

Nicholas found happiness in music of all kinds, particularly Greek music and Elvis, which inspired his love of singing and dancing. His joy, positive energy, charisma, humor, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He is loved and will be missed. May his memory be eternal.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St. Brockton, MA 02301, on Friday, September 5th, 2025 at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Church, prior to the service, from 9 a.m.- 10 a.m. Burial at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
