Nicholas Dylan Hiatt

Nicholas Dylan Hiatt, 24, of Gaston, Indiana, passed away on March 10, 2024, at his home in Gaston.
Nick was born on March 11, 2000, in Muncie to Jody and Shine Hiatt. He attended Wes-Del Schools and had recently enrolled in Penn Foster College. Nick worked as a cook at the Mill Street Inn. He enjoyed skateboarding, pheasant hunting, and hanging out with his friends. His greatest loves were playing guitar and his dog Tender.
Nick is survived by his parents, Jody and Shine Hiatt; brother, Dakotah Hiatt; two sisters, Katie McCall (husband Clint) and Kiara Groscost (husband Ray); two grandmothers, Joyce Hiatt and Katie Kelley; four aunts, Tricia Finch (husband Greg), Shelley Miller (husband Ivan), Roxie Hiatt, and Linda Armstrong (husband Joe); an uncle Andy Merrill; niece, Grace McCall; nephew, Mason McCall; and many cousins, extended family, and friends.
Nick was preceded in death by his grandfather, Fred Hiatt; great-grandparents, Donald and Imogene Winningham and Ben and Mary Carver; an uncle, Scott Hiatt; and a nephew, Jacob McCall.
A memorial service to celebrate Nick's life will be held at 4:00 pm Monday, March 18, 2024, at Gaston Main Street Church, 105 Main St. in Gaston. Pastor Bill Bruneau will officiate. Burial of Nick's ashes will be in Thompson Cemetery at a later date.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Monday, at the church.
