Nicholas David Hipp, born on January 3, 1997, in Gaston County, North Carolina, left this world far too soon on March 9, 2025. He was a loving son, brother, and father whose impact will be felt deeply by everyone who knew him.
Nicholas was not just a talented young man; he was building engineer but also a devoted family man. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, which exemplified his commitment to responsibility and duty. His greatest accomplishments are found in the laughter and smiles of his children—Theodore Hipp, Holland Faye, Malachi Greene and Ellie Thomasetti who were his pride and joy. Nicholas poured his heart into parenting, cherishing every moment with them and instilling values of love, respect, and resilience. He attended City Church when he could.
As a home person, Nicholas loved spending time with his children, creating a nurturing environment filled with warmth and laughter. He could often be found grilling in the backyard, sharing meals that were seasoned with love and laughter. His adventurous spirit thrived through mountain biking, where he found peace and joy in the beauty of nature.
Nicholas’s memory will live on through his beloved parents, David and Shana Willard Hipp, who provided him with a foundation of love throughout his life. He is survived by his cherished sister, Lexi Hipp, who held a special bond with him forged in childhood memories and shared experiences. Nicholas also leaves behind his beloved grandparents, Ray and Donna Willard, Billy and Lynn Hipp, and his aunt, Melody Childers and her husband Chris all of whom nurtured his spirit, guiding him during his formative years.
Friends and family are invited to honor Nicholas during visitation and funeral services to be held at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on March 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 4:00 in the Chapel with Pastor John Whitaker officiating, and with military honors by the U.S. Navy.
Though Nicholas has departed from our midst, his legacy continues in the hearts of those he loved and cherished. In each joyful memory, in the laughter of his children, and in the stories shared, Nicholas will forever remain.
