Memorial services to honor the life of Nicholas Linenberger, Jr. will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on a date and time to be determined. Full Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Air Force.

Nicholas passed away on September 29, 2025. He was born in Hays, KS, to the late Nicholas and Charlene Weigel Linenberger. Nicholas was a retired Air Force Major and a Vietnam veteran. He was a grandmaster in the Nights of Columbus. Nicholas dedicated his life to working hard so his children and grandchildren had everything they needed. He raised, he laughed, he cried, he sang, he joked, he loved, he worshiped, he comforted, he sacrificed, he lived!Nicholas was the one who showed up when he was needed the most. He will be sorely missed. His stories, guidance and the way he made us feel safe will be his legacy.

Nicholas is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon Chastain Linenberger; brother David Linenberger; children, Christopher James Linenberger (Suzette), Jeffrey Michael Linenberger (Colleen), Joseph Matthew Linenberger (Kimberly), Rebecca Arriaga Linenberger, Joshua John Paul Linenberger (Carrie); grandchildren, Natalia Arriaga, Yasmin Arriaga, Carlos Arriaga, Javier Arriaga, Alicia Linenberger, Kristina Linenberger, Haley Linenberger, Damon Lewis, Connie Otto, Nicholas Linenberger, Marissa Rose, Ye'Meir Booker, Kathryn Linenberger, Angelina Linenberger, Juliette Linenberger, Cade Johnson, Adysen Johnson, Lucian Linenberger, Lilith Linenberger, Raven Linenberger, and great-grandchildren, Lorna Coffee, Aceion Brown, Ashton Brown, Alannah Lewis, Charlotte Lewis, and Bella Arriaga Florez.

In addition to his parents, Nicholas is predeceased by his son, Nicholas John Linenberger, and his brothers, Duane Linenberger and Larry Linenberger.
