Nicholas Long

On November 21, 2022, at 101 years old, the gates of heaven were opened for Nick.
He was one of the last of a generation of great men and patiots to whom it can be said, job well done good and faithful one!
The true measure of a life is what you leave behind.
Nick leaves a rich legacy of touching hearts and enriching lives, as well as an extensive body of work, life experiences and memories.
He was an amazing and faithful husband to Anna, a wonderful father to Monique and Darius, grandfather to Giovanni Varuola and brother to Angelo, Larry, Dora and Julie.
Nick lived a life of truth and honesty, honor and discipline, who was always a man of his word.
His Motto: "Age is just a number!" And oh how true! At 101, he was still doing 100 "plank" pushups daily, lifting weights, riding a stationary bike, traveling cross country and telleng countless life stories about his 100 years in absolute detail.
He read whole books in a day or two, retaining it all, and as a result could explain, in detail, anything you ever asked him about.
Nick was a remakable man who will be remembered as smart, kind generous, loving, always happy and smiling, an avid reader, world traveler, patriot, an optimist, someone strong willed and opinionated, but most importantle a great inspiration who was loved by all!
The worlds loss is heavens gain, until we meet again.
