Nicholas Pasquale Macri

Nicholas Pasquale Macri DVM, PhD, 59, of Medford, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Nicholas resided in many locations but preferred the Southwest, residing in Flagstaff, AZ before living the Parrot Head dream by moving to the Caribbean and dwelling on Saba, then returning to his childhood state of New Jersey before following his wife to Portland, OR in the Pacific Northwest and finally begging to move back to the sunshine and settling in Albuquerque, NM. Nick studied at Cornell University and was awarded his DVM then returned to school to specialize in pathology, obtaining his PhD at Purdue. He was a practicing Buddhist who enjoyed many hobbies, including scuba diving, photography, whittling Native flutes, mastering the discerning wine-tasting palate and finally combining his science and art talents by brewing very small batch craft beer (nanobrewing).
Nicholas is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Macri, and their children, Sylvia Macri and Nicholas Macri Jr, his sisters, Linda Macri, Patricia Macri, Maria Heck (James) and Theresa Gillespie (James), his brother Christopher Macri (Lisa), his mother, Angela Fitt (Frank) and his uncle, Philip Macri.
A memorial for family was held on October 25 in New Jersey.
