Nicholas V. Mendola of Rock Tavern, NY passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Friday November 8, 2024, at his home. He was 53 years old. The son of Salvatore Mendola and Betty Ann Brozier-Mendola, Nicholas was born on Nicholas was born on February 21, 1971, in Middletown, NY.
Nicholas was owner and operator of his landscaping company, Landscaping Plus, and made an impact on his community. He was a beloved baseball coach for years in the Washingtonville Little League as well as his own travel teams. Nicholas also coached CYO basketball. He loved going to Atlantic City as well as the Jersey Shore and around the holidays aways took his family to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx.
Survivors include his three children Nicole 24, Sal 20, and Madelyn 11.
Nicholas was predeceased by his Mother Betty Ann Brozier- Mendola, brother James Anthony Mendola, and his father Salvatore F. Mendola.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Zygmunt-Murtie Funeral Home, 4 Oak Street, Greenwood Lake, NY 10925. A funeral service will take place at 4:15pm. Burial will take place privately in St. Mary's Cemetery in Washingtonville.
