Nicholas John "Nick" MUSTY Jr.

1940 - 2021

Age 80, of Brainerd Passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Essentia St Joseph's Medical Center. Funeral services will take place at 11 AM on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at St. Andrews Catholic Church located at 1108 Willow Street Brainerd, MN 56401. Visitation will start at 10 AM at St. Andrews. Burial will follow at Swanburg Cemetery in Timothy Township, Crow Wing County, MN 56401. A social gathering will follow. Nick was born on June 11, 1940 to Dr. Nic and Peg (Cunningham) Musty. He spent his formative years in St. Paul, MN. He graduated from St. Thomas Military Academy and St. Thomas College in St. Paul. He had multiple successes as an Entrepreneur. Nick was a member of the prestigious Crack Drill Squad while at the academy. Nick also participated in athletics and achieved academically. His family and friends will miss his charm and his sense of humor. He is survived by his brother Mike (Joy) Musty; nephews Peter (Sarah) Musty and their daughter Mae, and Mike Musty Jr; close friend and cousin Dave Marquardt; and many other cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials will be contributed to enhance the current "Nic and Peg Musty Family Athletic Scholarship" that is in place at CLC community college, in Brainerd, MN 56401. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel-Baxter.
