Funeral services for Nicholas Robert Nickson, age 21, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, June 23, 2024, in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel. Interment will follow in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville, Georgia.
Mr. Nickson was born September 7, 2002, in Chicago, IL. He has lived in Wrightsville, GA for the last two and a half years. Nicholas was said to have a smile that would "just light up a room," a smile he shared readily with all who knew him. A smile that will be greatly missed. He loved his dog Bella dearly, who could always be found at his side. Details mattered to Mr. Nickson; he was consistently meticulous and thoughtful in his appearance, right down to his shoes. A hard worker who took the initiative, he enjoyed the career he was building as an independent welder.
Mr. Nickson was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Theodore Nickson.
Mr. Nickson is survived by his mother, Renata Petermann; his father, Robert Nickson; maternal grandparents, John and Joyce Grosse; paternal grandmother, Marlene Nickson; a sister, Veronika Scott (Darrien) Davis; 4 brothers, Theodore (Chloe) Nickson, Jonathan Nickson, Michael Nickson, and Patrick Nickson; nieces and nephews, Elijah Davis, Jackson Davis, Henry Nickson, and Margaret Nickson, and a beloved pet Bella.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 12: 45 P.M. on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be held in Chicago, Illinois at a later date.
