Nicholas John Rinaldi, Sr., 56, of Berlin, CT, passed away on July 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Nick was born on November 18,1968 in Waterbury, Connecticut to Kathleen (Moskaitis) Golymbieski. Nick was a graduate of E.C. Goodwin Technical High School and went on to receive a degree in Architectural and Civil CADD Technology from Porter and Chester Institute and a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management from Central Connecticut State University.

Nick was a good man, a loving father of four, soon-to-be-Papa of his first granddaughter, and the complete and utter soulmate of his amazing wife, Nancy. He was a man of many talents and built a beautiful life for his family, both physically through his master carpentry work and emotionally through his love and compassion that knew no bounds.

Nick worked in the construction and building industry for over 40 years. He was a carpenter, an architect, and a builder whose talents were endless. He was a leader and a mentor to many. After owning his own business for many years, he went on to work for other construction/remodeling companies and spent the last decade working as lead carpenter for Better Built Basements in Berlin, CT.

Nick was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Golymbieski, and his stepfather, Henry Golymbieski.

Nick is survived by his adoring wife, Nancy (Furman) Rinaldi of Berlin, and their beautiful, blended family: son Nicholas Rinaldi, Jr. (Amber), and daughters Alexa Fawcett (Heather), Victoria Rinaldi (Tyler) and Sam Arasimowicz. He also leaves his sister, Theresa Rinaldi of Torrington, his uncle Leonard Moskaitis (Christine) of Daytona, FL, several nieces and nephews, and a very long list of wonderful neighbors and friends. Nick's family would like to say a special thank you to the Cardiac ICU team at Hartford Hospital for their incredible care for both Nick and his family.

Calling hours will be Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM with a memorial service that will begin at noon at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Highway Berlin, CT.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of Nick's generosity and selflessness, we encourage our friends and family to do a good deed via donation to an organization close to your heart, a blood donation, or other contribution to your community. In honor of the man of few words himself: thank you.
