Nicholas W. Rossi

Nicholas (Nick) Rossi, age 87, born and raised in West Harrison (Silver Lake), died on April 16, 2023, after a short illness. He retired from the City of White Plains Highway Department and served for 32 years in the Air Force and Army Reserves. Recently he was a board member of the Rye Association for the Handicapped. He had many loves, including antique cars (Model A Ford), gardening, orchids, and his many friends and family. He made friends wherever he went and will be missed by many. He is predeceased by his wife Barbara, brother Jerome, father Sergio, and mother Ida. He is survived by his four children, Michelle (Stephen), Jerome (Anne), Stephanie, and William (Hyun Joo); and eight grandchildren, Amanda, Kaitlin, Aubrey, Hana, Jerica, Natalie, Kyle, and Evan.
Visiting hours will be at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue, at South Broadway, White Plains, NY, Monday, April 24, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral mass at St Anthony of Padua Church, 85 Harrison St, West Harrison, NY at 10 am April 25, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be sent to either Rye Association for Handicapped, PO Box 16, Rye, NY 10580, or the American Cancer Society.
