Nicholas O. Schork

1988 - 2026

Nicholas Oleg Schork, 28, of West Newton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026. He was born Jan. 27, 1998, in Krasnodar, Russia, and was the son of Michael and Janet Schork of West Newton. He was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Sandy Braun and Mack Schork; along with his aunt, Sharon; uncles, Gary, John, and Brian Schork; and his cousin, Joseph Schork. Nicholas was a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 259 in Herminie and achieved the Eagle Scout rank. He graduated from Yough Senior High School in 2016 and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army from 2017 through 2022, having served in South Korea and Ft. Bliss, Texas. He later served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves. Nick was employed by the Westinghouse Nuclear Parts Business, located in New Stanton, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking, camping, and fishing. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Alexander Schork; his grandmother, Patricia Schork; his aunts and uncles, Erin Schork, Matthew and Corrine Braun, David and Judy Christ, and Jennifer and Adam Burgess; and his cousins, Brian Schork Jr., Jaclyn and Darren Jones, Shannon Schork, Kaitlynn (Austin) Vogel, and Sierra (Michael) Vogel. Nicholas will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Remember the love we shared. When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know and bury your sorrows in good deeds. Services will be private.
