Nicholas Vucich Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care - Peters Township on Mar. 28, 2025.
Nicholas P. Vucich, age 29, of Peters Township, passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2025.
Born on May 14, 1995, he was the beloved son of Deneane and Nicholas P. Vucich; loving brother of Mariah Vucich; dear grandson of Barbara Stefan, the late Nicholas P. and Alma Vucich and Stephen Stefan.
Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
Nicholas was an accomplished nuclear engineer at Fluor, where his brilliance and dedication to his work were evident every day. His passion for problem-solving and innovation left a lasting mark on those who had the privilege to work with him.
Outside of his professional achievements, Nicholas had a wide range of interests and hobbies that showcased his adventurous spirit and creative mind. A lover of waterskiing, he spent many weekends enjoying the thrill of the water and the great outdoors. Nicholas was an avid builder, often found constructing intricate Lego sets, experimenting with Connects, and assembling drones. His fascination with engineering extended to working on cars, home improvement projects, and exploring the world of 3D printing. Growing up, he had a passion for trains.
Nicholas also found joy in outdoor activities, from mountain biking in the rugged trails of South Park to walking dogs on peaceful days. His passion for fun and competition led him to play Ultimate Frisbee, where his energy and enthusiasm were contagious. He also enjoyed the camaraderie of playing video games and indulged in many memorable Dungeons & Dragons sessions with his close friend from Oregon, where his creativity and sense of adventure brought the game to life.
Nicholas's warmth, humor, and kindness made him a cherished friend, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 2-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11 am at the funeral home.

As a co-worker of Nick´s at the start of his career at the Bettis Pittsburgh and the twilight of my career, I knew Nick to be a sharp young man who significantly contributed to our efforts immediately upon arrival. But more importantly he was a good person, he will be sorely missed. My condolences to all his loved ones and friends.
