Nicholas Zaleski Obituary

Nick graduated from Carteret High School. He worked as head of the repair shop at General Motors for over 28 years and was the former Chief for the Carteret Fire Department. He attended Holy Family Catholic Church.
Nick was an avid boater. He enjoyed taking family trips and working on cars in his spare time.
Survivors include his son, Erick Zaleski; granddaughter, Felicity Zaleski; sister in law, Karen Jimenez; and Derek and Brooks Jimenez.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Ave., Carteret, NJ 07008, where visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067.
Contributions can be made to the Carteret Fire Department, 240 Roosevelt Avenue Carteret, NJ 07008, The American Cancer Society, www.donate.cancer.org, or The Alzheimer's Association, www.act.alz.org.

Nicks Family; Our Deepest Condolences goes out to you on the passing of Nick. I remember him from Carteret High School we graduated in 1965. My husband was a volunteer firefighter with Nick in Carteret. He was a great guy. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. May Nick Rest in Peace
