Nichole Leanne Rhinehart

Nichole Leanne Rhinehart, 53, of Chandlerville, passed away at 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Cass County Senior Living and Rehabilitation in Virginia. She was born on June 8, 1972 in Beardstown to James L. and Donna Darlene (Harris) Griffie. She married Allan Rhinehart on November 18, 1995 at the Havana 1st Baptist Church. Nichole is survived by her husband, Allan Rhinehart of Chandlerville; sons, David (Sadie) Rhinehart of Chandlerville and Isaac (Cassy) Rhinehart of Havana; one grandson, Casey James Rhinehart; mother, Darlene Griffie of Chandlerville; and brother, Michael Griffie of Chandlerville. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents. Nichole was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She graduated from Balyki High School in 1990 and received her associates degree from Spoon River College. She worked at Havana Medical Associates as clinical manager and Memorial Hospital in Springfield as an Operations Administrator from 1991 until 2000, when she decided to return to school. She attended MacMurray College for her Bachelor's degree and Western Illinois University for her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. After receiving her Master's, she worked at New Central Elementary School as a Pre-K and Elementary Teacher. She also worked at the Havana Public Library during the summer. Nichole was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and was leader of the Ducklings 4-H Club. She taught Sunday school and children's chapel at church. She loved kids, animals, taking walks, and vacationing in the Lake of the Ozarks. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville. Rev. William Wagahoff will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Bethel Cemetery in Chandlerville. Memorial donations may be made in Nichole's name to Bethel Baptist Church or to a college fund for her grandson at Petefish Bank.
