Nick Comans, 83, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Mississippi Care Center in Morton, MS. Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 10 am -12 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS. Funeral Services were held at 12 pm (noon) on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the chapel of Ott & Lee with burial to follow at Morton Memorial Gardens in Morton, MS. Mr. Comans was born in Sebastopol, MS on June 26, 1939, to the late Mike and Beatrice Goss Comans. A long-time resident of Morton, he was the owner of Comans Repair Shop for over 30 years. Before his health declined, Mr. Comans enjoyed fishing, hunting, and just riding around in his truck. He was a very loving and giving man who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janey Spangler Comans; children, Michael Comans (Chantell) and Lakeisha Corley (Shane); sister, Rachel Sanders; brothers, Mack Comans, Kendell Comans, and Wendell Comans; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mr. Comans is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Melissa Hayman; his sister, Gladys Brooks; his brothers, Willie Glenn Comans, Donald Comans, and Harlon Comans. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mississippi Care Center of Morton Nursing Home or Morton Church of God.
