Nick Sponsler

Bristolville – Nick F. Sponsler, 58, of Bristolville passed away Wednesday evening, October 22, 2025, of natural causes, at his home. Nick was born on April 5, 1967, in Lorain, Ohio, the son of the late Robert Sponsler Sr. and Shirley (Hamrick) Sponsler. He worked in construction for many years and was a member of the Cortland Moose Lodge. Nick was a loving father to his daughter Samantha and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He leaves his daughter Samantha Grigg of Grand Fork, ND, his mother Shirley Sponsler of Cortland, a brother, Robert Sponsler Jr. of Cortland, two sisters, Martha Severt of Newton Falls, and Cynthia Smith of Bristol, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his father Robert Sponsler Sr., Nick was preceded in death by two sisters Robin Wells, and Retha O'Kernick. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1 pm in the chapel at Johnston Cemetery.
