Nickolas H. Golz, 36 of Humboldt, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday morning, May 29, 2024.

Nick was born May 8, 1988 in Fort Dodge, the son of Keith E. and Margaret (Jones) Golz.  He grew up in Fort Dodge and attended Fort Dodge Schools.  Following his schooling he worked in the restaurant business in the Fort Dodge area.  In 2016 Nick moved to Humboldt and started with Miller’s Landing working his way up in the business to become a partner.  Nick was all about his children and the time spent fishing with his son Mason and friend Ben Wright.  He was instrumental in revitalizing the Lighted Christmas Parade in Humboldt which his girls, Kharma and Kadence enjoyed and the annual fireworks display for family and friends that would rival any other.

Nick is survived by his daughters Kharma Keenan and Kadence Golz both of Knoxville, his son Mason of Stanhope, his father Keith (Jaci Schwering) Golz of Otho, his mother Margaret Golz of Coalville, sister Allison (Robert Leedom) Golz of Otho, Michael and Ashli Schwering of Otho, Oliver Meils of Otho, Tyler, Scott and Ryan Ayala of Fort Dodge, grandparents Jan & Gary Newman of Spokane, Washington, several aunts and uncles and many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Margaret & Henry Jones and his Aunt Sue Golz.   

Visitation and Memorial Gathering will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt.   www.masonlindhart.com
