Nick worked as an assemblyman for Clark American for 20 plus years and after retirement he worked part-time for 7-11 Stores on the Turnpike. Nick always remained a proud veteran and was a member of the Pemberville American Legion Post #183, he also looked forward to his monthly breakfast meetings with his former coworkers. Nick was an avid reader, he enjoyed visiting the East Coast, and was an animal lover, especially of his K-9 pals or fur babies as he referred to them. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Sandy, Nick is survived by his daughters: Jeanne (Christopher) McCoy of Foster, RI., Jennifer (Justin) May of Round Rock TX., Jaclyn (Jeffrey) Heintschel of Bluffton, SC., granchildren: Asher, Amya, and Ellowynn. Nick was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother; Mattye Gossett, and brother; Paul Heiserman.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials take the form of contributions to: A Humane Society of the donor's choice. Those wishing to express a word of encouragement, share a memory or photo may do so at: www.marshfuneralhomes.com

Nick was such a funny and kind soul and such a hard worker. He truly did love his family and his pets.. prayers to the family . You truly be missed... You were one of a kind.
