Nick is preceded in death by his mother, Maria De La Luz Garcia, his father, Nicolas Garcia Sr., brothers, Rolando Garcia, Erasmo Garcia, sisters, Yolanda G. Vargas, Romelia (Ronnie) Garcia.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Garcia, sisters, Diana G. Cardona and husband Rene, Irene Garcia, Gracie Martinez, Janie Garza, Juanita Garcia, Debbie Garcia, Nicole Garcia, brothers, Gilberto "Gil" Garcia and wife Caroline, and Cesar Garcia.
The Garcia family will honor their loved one on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Leonard Funeral Home, family viewing will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, public viewing will be from 10:00 am to 1:00pm. Interment will follow at the Guadalupe #4 Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews, Omar Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, Michael Stamps, Steven Stamps, Marcus Avila, John Issac Cardona and Virgilio Vargas. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Guttierez and Tony Stamps.
Our brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend will be missed.
His brother Gilbert wrote the following in regards to Nick's life:
"Nick Garcia, 08/25/1959 – 07/04/2025. Loved my brother, as he always called me "G", he was an old "rocker", he loved his jams. As to his character, easy to get along with, a charmer with the ladies, had a great heart. Never bothered or complained about his life to others, just liked to endure his own troubles in his life on his own terms. He loved music, seemed like all times rocking out. As a teenager played golf and was good, who would have thought. My brother had a great sense of humor, we joked and laughed when we were in each others company."
