Nicole Marie "Nikki" Strong

Nikki peacefully passed away September 6, 2023, at UPMC-Hamot Hospital with loved ones by her side.
She was born April 28, 1979, in Erie, Pa. to Jeff and Betty Smith. She was a 1997 graduate of McDowell High School and then attended Edinboro University.
Nikki was preceded in death by her grandparents Don and Marilyn Smith; Elmer and Capitola Peganoff; step-grandparents Robert and Lois Wells; stepmother, Paula Smith; and uncle, Dana Smith.
Nikki is survived by her loving husband James Strong; her father Jeff Smith of Florida, her mother Betty (Jim) Wells of Erie, her mother and father-in-law Bobbi and Ken Strong of Erie; her brothers Dana (Christine) Smith of Erie; Jason (Olivia) Smith of Florida; sister Megan Smith of Florida; Sister-in-law Bekah (John) Guthrie of NY; nephews Cameron and Carson Smith of Erie; Richard and Isaac Guthrie of NY; niece Alice Guthrie of NY and many, many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.
Nikki was the proud owner of Little T and Friends pet-sitting. She worked at Shade of Grey Weimaraner's and was also a licensed insurance sales agent.
Nikki was a joyous, beautiful light who lit up the room. She radiated so much love and healing energy. She was loved by so many, including her "fur babies". She was known for her bright smile, sense of humor, positive outlook, and her love of her puppies. She befriended all human and animal alike.
The family would like to welcome callers Saturday from 1-4 pm, at Brugger Funeral Home and Crematory, 1595 W 38th St. at Greengarden.
A service to be held immediately following calling hours. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
