Nicos Savva Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Yates Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Fort Pierce on Dec. 9, 2025.
Obituary for Nicos Panagiotis Savva
Nicos Panagiotis Savva, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away surrounded by family and love. He was born on July 15, 1946, in the small village of Salamiou, Cyprus. He was the first of three children of Panagiotis and Triantafyllia. He went to school in Paphos and then proudly served two years in the Cyproit National Guard before coming to the United States in 1968.
There he began building a life full of dedication, faith, and hard work. He started out in the hospitality industry as a bellhop, later working in several restaurants where his passion for food and people flourished. That passion eventually led him to become a talented chef and restaurant owner.
Never one to shy away from new challenges, Nicos pursued his state HVAC license while running his own restaurant. From that milestone came the founding of Arista Air Conditioning in the early 1980s-a business he nurtured with pride and integrity for decades, earning the respect of colleagues and customers alike.
Family was at the center of Nicos's life. He was blessed with five children from his first marriage, and later married the love of his life, Susan Lantz. Together for 38 wonderful years, Nicos and Susan built a blended family filled with love and laughter-raising three children from Susan's previous marriage and welcoming twin boys of their own. In total, Nicos cherished ten children who were his greatest source of pride.
Those who knew Nicos remember him as loving, caring, and thoughtful. He had an open heart and an open door-always ready to welcome guests, friends, and even strangers with food, drink, and warmth. His passion for cooking extended far beyond the kitchen; it was an expression of love. He was known for preparing unforgettable meals and was especially famous for his baklava, which no one could quite replicate.
In his free time, Nicos loved fishing, spending time with family, and helping customers any time of day or night-his generosity knew no limits. His compassion for others, his pride in his heritage, and his unshakable work ethic made him a truly remarkable man.
Nicos was a pillar in St. Nicholas Orthodox Greek Church, faithful in attendance and daily prayer. He generously gave of his time and talent in diagnosing, repairing, and installing, air conditioning and refrigeration units. He also participated in their annual Greek Festival where his ability as a chef was displayed.
Nicos's legacy lives on in his children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. He taught those around him the value of kindness, perseverance, and love-and his memory will remain an inspiration to everyone he touched.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kind heart, his strength, and his generous spirit.
