Nikki R. Adams

It is with heavy hearts that the Adams family announces the passing of Nikki R. Adams (formerly Michael J. Adams) after a courageous two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. Michael passed away on Sunday July 20, 2025 at the age of 62. Born and raised in Elmer, New Jersey to the late Floyd (Bro) Adams Jr. and Sandra Adams (née VanCleef), he attended Schalick High School and later took several classes at Gloucester County College that honed in on his love of literature. Michael was an edacious reader, often indulging in non-fictional biographies, historical novels, and science fiction. He also enjoyed studying astronomy, building model tanks, playing video games, watching films, and gardening. He was always happy to give away what he could, whether it be extra fruit and vegetables from his garden, a lollipop, or a quick-witted joke. Most recently, Michael was employed at A Cheerful Giver in Elmer, but had many professions over the years. Michael is survived by his two children, Jonathan Adams (married to Amanda) and Melissa Adams (engaged to José); as well as his two brothers, Floyd Adams III and Edward Adams. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his long-time partner, Susan Mote. There will be a private, graveside service to honor Michael's life.
