Nikkilas Purdue

Nikkilas Alan Purdue, 35, succumbed to his battle with cancer on 9/28/2025. This brave warrior fought valiantly until his final breath. The Valkyries have claimed him from the battlefield and have delivered him unto Valhalla where he feasts with Odin in his hallowed halls.

Nikki was born in Shelbyville, IN. He is the son of Christine R. Gibson-Turner and William E. Turner, and Simon H. Purdue. He was especially close to his grandparents, Walter 'Cotton' Jones and Shirley Jones, his uncle Toby Gibson, and his godmother Kerri Shepard. He is survived by his parents and grandparents along with his daughter, Katelyn Salcedo, his brothers, Trevor (husband Aspen) Wheeler, Tristan Turner, and Jonathan Purdue. His sisters, Kelsey Turner, Shianna Golding, Tyler Colvin, Valerie Cheatham, and Desiree Allen. His uncles, Chris Jones, Bob Jones, Toby Gibson, and Skye Gibson. His aunts, Sharon Asher, Dawn Jones, and Rhonda Meetze. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronnie Gibson, his aunt, Jamie Gibson, and his sister, Morgan Purdue. There are many other loved ones that meant the world to Nikki, but they are too numerous to list. They know who they are and they know that Nikki loved them.

Nikki was an avid gamer. He loved playing card games, board games, video games, and tabletop role-playing games. He loved to fish and to be outdoors. He enjoyed going to antique malls to just look around. More than anything, he loved to be surrounded by the people he loved. There are no services planned but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
