Nikolai Charles

It's with deep sadness and full hearts that we share the passing of Nikolai Christian Sky Charles-known and loved by so many as Niko-who left us on July 20, 2025, at the age of 33.
Niko was a devoted son, a loving husband, a caring brother, and a true friend. His life was guided by his faith, fueled by creativity, and filled with deep love for the people around him.
Born on December 23, 1991, to Joel Charles and Heidie Crump, Niko lit up every room with his quick wit, warm smile, and sense of humor. He had a gift for making people laugh, feel welcome, and truly seen. He especially loved to cook. Whether through a shared meal or a thoughtful word, Niko had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved.
He is deeply missed by his wife and best friend, Jillian Charles. His loving parents, Heidie Crump and Joel Charles, along with his stepmother, Barbara Galbreath. His sister, Arielle Redick and spouse Jason and their son Andrew. His sister, Tina Latassa and her sons Johnny and Russell. As well as his stepsisters LeAnn, Denise, and Patricia and stepbrothers Joey, Ryan, and John Jr.
Niko was preceded in death by his stepfather, Johnny Crump Sr., whose memory he held dear as well as his stepbrother Kevin.
While we wish we had more time with him, we are so grateful for the time we did have. Niko's legacy of kindness, faith, and love leave a lasting mark on all of us. We'll carry his memory forward with every laugh, every shared meal, and every moment of grace. As Niko would say, "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart".
