In Loving Memory
Michael A.Charles, 91 of Rochester, New York, passed away peacefully at home on July 2025, with his son by his side.
Michael graduated from Franklin High School, where he was pitcher on the baseball team.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, continuing his love for baseball he also was pitcher for the United States Air Force team.
After returning home he worked in supervisory roles at Stromberg-Carlson and later at GRS.
Michael was predeceased by his first wife, Dolly Charles and second wife Angelina Charles. He is survived by his children Michael (Leonna), Tracey Breitenborn, and Kathy Charles-Grossi; grandchildren Jenna, Louis, Nicole and Steven(Deanna) and great granddaughter Ava; brother Richard (Linda) and niece Paula.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 28th 10-12 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, with burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to his home health care team, Pat and Wilhelmina “Willey”, for their compassionate care and support, and to his VA Home Based Primary Care Team for their support and service. Appreciation also goes to Michaels wonderful neighbors, brother and sister in law (Steve and Nora) for continued support and friendship
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Veterans Association.
