Nina Christine Kocher, 72, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025, at her home in Newton, KS. Nina was born on October 17, 1952, in Nashville, KS, the daughter of John S. and Vulla P. (Moore) Cullison.

Nina worked as a cook for Skaets Steak Shop in Hutchinson for many years. If she wasn't playing bingo, you could find her helping with the concessions or calling out bingo numbers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Billy Martin Rich; granddaughter, Rebecca Shields; and brothers-in-law, Sonny Lightsey, Rod Mears, and Roland Goff.

Nina is survived by her daughter, Michele (Keith) McGee; siblings, Donna Lightsey, John Cullison, Cynthia Mears, Lisa Goff, Pattie (Buddy) Norris, Teresa (Bob) Fultz, and Bennie Cullison; grandchildren, Joshua (Chyenne) McGee, Justin McGee and Jalynna McGee; great grandchildren, Jesse McGee, Gunner McGee, Brice McGee, Isabella Smith, Emery Forgie, Angelia McGee, Aryona Morrison and Alex Sheilds; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 pm, Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS. The family will have a potluck dinner following the service at 5pm at the Carey Park Home Builders building. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to help with funeral expenses, to Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.
