Nina Gayle Michum, 82, of Rankin passed Friday, April 4, 2025.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Rankin United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 10, 2024 at Rankin Cemetery with Pastor Scott Melton, chaplain with Hospice of San Angelo, officiating.
Nina was born on July 9, 1942 to JB and Edith Pettit. She graduated from Rankin High School in 1960. On December 30, 1961, she married Gerald "Dick" Richard Michum. He passed away on April 9, 1989.
Through the years Nina was a well-known babysitter for many of Rankin's children. In 1981 she began working at the Rankin County Hospital and retired in 2007. She spent many years chasing and supporting her grandchildren and all their friends. She was a die-hard Red Devil fan. Nina adored her great grandchildren.
Nina was preceded in death by one son, James Rufus Michum; her husband; her parents; a sister, Marie Plott, and a brother, Jim Pettit.
Her survivors include two sons, Danny Michum and wife Daun of Rankin and Paul Michum and wife Miera of Eden; a granddaughter, Baleagh Selman and her husband Bo of Rankin; two grandsons, Dalton Michum and wife Alyssa of Rankin and Westin Michum of Eden; a great granddaughter, Arley Selman of Rankin; four great grandsons, Colby Selman, Boyce Selman, Kasen Michum and Bodi Michum all of Rankin; and many nieces and nephews.
