Nina M. Ruffner, age 80, of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at her home with her husband by her side. Born in Greenville TN on July 5, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Oval Hensley.
Nina worked as a waitress for 38 years, at Nick’s Airport Inn, retiring in 2009. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, going to the mountains with her husband and taking walks and hiking. She was always willing to lend a hand with her husband’s tree service, Bierd’s Tree Service, which he founded 54 years ago.
The last of her immediate family, Nina is survived by her beloved husband of 30 ½ years, Clarence Bierd, Sr., whom she married in 2001 and three step-children, William Bierd, Amanda Bierd, and Latrinda. In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and a sister.
