Ninfa Vigil, 83, of Lubbock, TX, passed away with her family by her side, on September 5, 2024. She was born on June 16, 1941, to Cruz Narvaiz Sr. and Petra Rodriguez in Seguin, TX. She married Remigio Vigil on September 5, 1962, in Lubbock. Together they share three daughters.
Ninfa loved many things, and some of her favorites were reading, traveling, and listening to music. She loved the oldies that would be played on the radio. She enjoyed spending her time shopping or visiting the casinos. One thing she cherished was cooking and having Sunday meals with her family. She loved celebrations, with Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners being some of her most special times.
One of her most cherished and memorable events was the trip she took to Rome and have Mass with the Pope. She also took several trips to Mexico and visited beautiful churches. She enjoyed buying souvenirs for the family from her travels.
She is survived by her husband, Remigio Vigil of Lubbock, TX; three daughters Norma Rodriguez and husband Gabriel, Cynthia Huerta and husband David and Veronica Torres all of Lubbock; five grandchildren Stephen Huerta, Matthew Huerta, Bryan Rodriguez, Alexandra Granado, and Marcus Torres; and six great grandchildren Aubri Huerta, Erisella Huerta, Zachary Huerta, Zayne Huerta, Aleena Granado, and Nadia Granado.
Ninfa is preceded in death by her parents Cruz Narvaiz Sr. and Petra Narvaiz; and two brothers Cruz Narvaiz Jr. and Eddie Narvaiz.
A time of visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 3:00–8:00 pm at the Combest Family Memorial Chapel with The Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be David Huerta, Stephen Huerta, Matthew Huerta, Gabriel Rodriguez, Bryan Rodriguez, and Marcus Torres.
