Nira Jean White Glisson, age 89, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Thursday morning, December 4, 2025, at her residence.
Graveside services for Mrs. Glisson will be held on Sunday, December7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Hebrew Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. No public visitation will be held.
Mrs. Glisson was born in Donalsonville, GA on December 26, 1935, to Woodrow Wilson White and Winnifred Tucker White. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Glisson was a caring and loving wife, mama, and grandmama.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Sandra Faye Glisson; her grandchildren, Sherry Delk, Glenda Glisson, and Shelly Yates; nine great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren; as well as her sister, Deloris Bevel and her husband Mickey.
Mrs. Glisson was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson White and Winnifred Tucker White; her husband Billy Joe Glisson; her siblings, Janice Smith, Barbara Eubanks, and Jerry White; her son, William Glenn Glisson; her grandson, William Dale Yates; and her great grandson, Christian Joseph Yates Walker.
