Noel Lee Lyons

Noel L. Lyons, 59, of Simpsonville, SC passed away peacefully on November 23, 2022, surrounded by his family. Noel was born December 21, 1962, to William Lyons Sr. and Sharon Wilkinson Lyons in Jacksonville, IL. Noel lived most of his life in Rockford, IL before relocating to South Carolina in 2020. He was a member of the Pentecostals of the Upstate.
Noel graduated from Jefferson High School in 1981 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corp., Camp Pendleton, CA.
Noel married Tammy Samaniego on November 29, 1986, and together they built an amazing life. They had two children and five grandchildren. Noel most enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his son, Noel II (Melissa); daughter, Courtney (Braden) Warrens; grandchildren, Olivia, Noel III, Parker, and Jocelyn Lyons; sisters, Tambra Turner and Kimberely (Frank) Kittoe; brother, Edward Lyons; special uncle and aunt, Butch and Jeanie; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kensington Lyons and one sister, Carolyn Brown.
A visitation will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel.
