Nola Colleen Clarke, born April 23, 1971, passed away peacefully on February 18 th
at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey. She was the daughter of Ralph and
Lynette Clarke and sister of Kay, Oscar Jr, Paula and George.
Nola attended All Saint Primary School in New Amsterdam, Guyana before later
entering Stella Maris in Georgetown, Guyana where she attained high grades for
the prestigious St Stanislaus College until moving back to the US.
She graduated from Tilden High School before attending Brooklyn College as a
Chemistry major. During her early college years, she decided to join United Postal
Service selecting to work the night shift to support her education endeavors. After
graduating in 1994, Nola entered the world of banking which let her to pursue an
MBA in Business/Finance from St. Joseph College.
Although Nola migrated at an early age to the US she always maintained close
contact with her bonus dad Oscar, Aunt Patsy, cousins Paula, Oscar Jr. and
George and Aunt Lorraine by making trips with Kay to visit them in Zambia, Africa
and Havana Cuba.
She was a devoted family person who never missed an opportunity to offer
assistance when family needed her. She maintained a strong bond with her sister
Kay, cousins, aunts and uncles on both sides of the family including being the
advisor if anyone needed her to step in.
She will be greatly missed but will forever be in our hearts.
