Nolan F. Goodwin, 90, of Washington, Indiana went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2025. He was born in Washington to the late John and Zelma Goodwin on October 21, 1935. Nolan married, the love of his life, Shirley Davis on November 5, 1954. They attended Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church. In his free time, Nolan enjoyed caring for his lawn, tending his flower and vegetable garden, solving jigsaw puzzles, and tinkering on cars. He was a proud family man and was known for being a hard worker. Nolan will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Zelma Goodwin; wife Shirley Goodwin; and 7 siblings.
Nolan is survived by his children Rick and Charlotte Goodwin, Terry Goodwin, Tracey and Ross Tackett; grandchildren Marianne Covert, Lindsey Miller, Amy Goodwin, Benjamin Goodwin; great-grandchildren Cameron Covert, Emma Covert, Carson Covert, Xavier Miller, Isabella Miller, Beau Humphries; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Goodwin. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10 to noon at 2020 State Street. The Funeral Service will begin promptly at noon with entombment at Sugarland Memory Gardens immediately following.
Memorial donations can be made to the Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church in Nolan's honor.
