Nolda Grant, 92, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in the parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, where she spent her early years and began her career as a schoolteacher. In her mid-twenties, she followed her calling to serve others and pursued a career in nursing, a profession to which she devoted herself wholeheartedly. In 1974, she and her family migrated to the United States and settled in St. Petersburg, where she continued her work as a dedicated and compassionate medical professional. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband Noel, with whom she shared 53 wonderful years before his passing 13 years ago. Together they built a strong foundation of faith, family, and love. A devoted Christian, she lived her life guided by her faith and values, leaving a legacy of service, kindness, and unwavering strength of character. She is survived by her four children, Kirby Grant, Adrian Grant (spouse Rosa), Jacqueline McIntosh (spouse Carl), and Lisa Robinson (spouse Paul); seven grandchildren, Alex, Chloe, Amanda, Andrew, Mikayla, McKenzie and Sophia; her three siblings John Ledgister (spouse Betty), Milford Ledgister, and Mernel Ledgister; sisters in law Thelma, and Sheila; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Myrtle and sister-in-law Madeline. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she will be remembered for her green thumb and her love of plants, and flowers. She found joy in nurturing life both in her garden and in the lives of those around her. Blessed with deep and lasting friendships, she touched countless hearts through her generosity, wisdom, and warmth. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd commencing with a gathering at 10am, followed by the service at 11am at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th Street North, St. Petersburg Florida 33709. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Nolda's remarkable life and legacy. She will be remembered always as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her faith, compassion, and quiet strength will remain an inspiration to all who knew her.
