Adams Funeral Home and Crematory - OzarkNona Mae Jones, of Sparta, entered her eternal rest on October 4, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born to Floyd and Edith Adamson on June 9, 1937 and was united in marriage to the love of her life, Russ Jones, on July 17, 1953. They shared 67 wonderful years together before his passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband Russ Jones; parents Floyd and Edith Adamson; daughter Patricia; sister Margaret Gass; and many beloved brothers- and sisters-in-law.
She is survived by her son Rick Jones and wife Crystal of Sparta; granddaughter Nicole Humble and husband Andy of Sparta; grandson Tyler Jones and wife Kaycey of Sparta; great-grandchildren Addison and Ella Humble, and Waylon, Nolan, Sutton, and Lawson Jones; and one sister-in-law Linda Rozell and husband Jerry Rozell of Chadwick, Missouri.
She found joy in the simple and meaningful things of life—reading, collecting antiques, watching westerns, attending church, and especially cheering on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all their events. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling to many areas across the country.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at First Baptist Church Sparta, with Brother Jeremy Gilbert officiating. Brother Duane Smith will share the reading of the obituary. Eternal rest will follow at Bruner Cemetery, Bruner, Missouri. A visitation will precede the service from 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Jones, Andy Humble, Harold Braden, Kevin Payne, Danny Rains, and Gregg Watts. Honorary pallbearers include Waylon Jones, Nolan Jones, Sutton Jones, and Lawson Jones.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all who have shared in her life and faith.
