Obituary published on Legacy.com by Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services - Monaca on Oct. 18, 2025.
Nora Lynn (Yonkovich) Pittser, age 74, of Industry, Pennsylvania, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on October 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on March 3, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Harry Yonkovich and Ellen (Erickson) Poskosky, and the stepdaughter of the late Stanley Poskosky.
Nora's life was marked by faith, family, and deep devotion to those she loved. She was known for her gentle nature, unwavering generosity and her ability to make everyone who entered her home feel welcome. Whether she was rocking one of her great-grandsons to sleep or greeting you in at the checkout counter, Nora carried a warmth that could fill any room.
She spent her later years living in Industry with her granddaughter Amanda (Decoda) Dobritz and was a proud "MeMe" to her great-grandsons Remington, Levi, and Hunter, who were the light of her daily life as she helped to care for them. Her days were filled with laughter, little footsteps, and the joy that comes from seeing the next generation thrive under her loving care.
Nora was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Billy Lee Pittser, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and steadfast commitment. Together, they built a family that now spans generations.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Harry Yonkovich, Ellen Erickson Poskosky, and Stanley Poskosky; her brother Richard Yonkovich; her sisters-in-law Dorothy Yonkovich and Dee Yonkovich; and her grandson Bryan Lantz.
She is survived by her loving siblings Harry (Dorothy) Yonkovich, John Poskosky, and Christine Rose (Vince); her daughter Jolene Lantz; her sons Billy (Cindy) Pittser and William (Michelle) Pittser; 12 grandchildren including Amanda and Decoda, Christopher, Sarah and Kevin, Heather and Rob, Tyler, Justin and Laura, Heath and Kristina; 18 great-grandchildren including Remington, Levi, Hunter, Jacob, Isiah, Elizabeth, Grace, Brandt, Colten, Jax, Paige, Kenny, Kaylee, Gabriele, Bailey, Abby, Silas, and Hanna; many great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Nora loved her family fiercely, but her faith was the foundation of her life. She carried herself with quiet strength and compassion, always offering a listening ear and a comforting word to those in need. Her family takes comfort in knowing that Nora is now reunited with Billy and her loved ones who have gone before her-resting in peace and joy in the presence of her Lord.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 1-3 and 4-6 with a funeral service to begin at 6pm at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Minister Christy Carlin Knetsch will preside. Interment will take place on Monday at 1 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery, Aliquippa.
Those who knew Nora will remember her laughter, her strength, and her unwavering love for her family-a love that will continue to ripple through generations to come
