Nora Lee Weeks, a beloved homemaker, passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 100, in Silsbee, Texas. Born on October 29, 1924, in Orange, Texas, she was a pillar of love, care, and unwavering support in her family and community.
Nora was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Port Neches, where she was known for her active participation and generous spirit. Her involvement with the Senior Citizens of Port Neches and Little League showcased her commitment to fostering community connections and enriching the lives of those around her. A lover of the outdoors, she found joy in sunsets and cherished time spent in nature.
Her proudest accomplishments included being a huge fan of the Port Neches Groves Indians, wearing her purple and white with pride—an embodiment of her deep-rooted dedication to her community. She will be fondly remembered for her loving and caring personality, always putting others before herself.
Nora is survived by her son, Larry Weeks, and his wife, Rebecca, of Wildwood; her cherished grandchildren, Laura King and her husband, Trampus, Anthony D. Weeks, and Melissa Patterson; as well as ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren who were the lights of her life.
Nora is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred Weeks; her parents, Alton and Emma Block; her son, Michael Weeks; her granddaughter, Cheryl Weeks; and eight brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held on June 5, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, Port Neches, located at 1900 Magnolia Avenue, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the same location from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Following the service, a graveside service for Nora will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
Nora Lee Weeks leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be given to First Baptist Church, Port Neches: 1900 Magnolia, Port Neches, Texas.
