Nora Jane Wiley ObituaryNora Jane Wiley, age 91 years, of Delta, PA died 3:27 am on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Parkville, MD. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Wiley who died on June 13, 2013.
Born in Delta, PA on September 9, 1933, a daughter of the late George Chester and Catherine (Ward) Heiner. Nora was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and retired postal carrier, now gone to her heavenly home to be with her cherished husband Joe and son, Jeff.
Nora devoted her life to her family and to serving others. After a long and faithful career with the U.S. Postal Service, she retired to enjoy the simple joys that brought her the most happiness-spending time outdoors, reading, doing puzzle books, spending time with her family and relaxing under the big tree in her favorite chair.
She loved sharing moments with her granddaughter Kayla. Their Friday night shopping trips to the York Galleria Mall were a treasured tradition. Nora had a passion for travel, often packing up the van with her husband and grandchildren for long, adventurous road trips across the country, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
She leaves behind her daughter-in-law Diana (Dee), two grandchildren, Kayla and Kris, and four great-grandchildren: Larry, Peyton, Chase, and Harper, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews and cousins and a brother, Stanley.
Nora was a member of the Slateville Presbyterian Church, where she and Joe could be found on Sundays in the back rows.
There wasn't a person that met her that didn't love her. Her warmth, strength, and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing in her beautiful life.
We find peace in knowing that Nora,Joe and Jeff are having the most beautiful reunion in the sky.
Nora's visitation and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA.
The visitation will be from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm when the funeral service will begin.
Reverend Raymond R. Meute, Jr. pastor of the Highland Presbyterian Church in Street, MD will be the officiant.
Interment will follow in Slateville Cemetery, Delta.
