Norbert E. Boldt

Norbert E. Boldt, age 78, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton on Sunday, November 23, 2025, following numerous health problems. Nubs was born in Appleton on July 7, 1947, to the late Elmer and Ada (Vander Zanden) Boldt. He graduated with the class of 1966 at Appleton West High School.

On July 7, 1995, he was united in marriage to Donna Hansen. The couple have enjoyed 30 years together. Nubs worked at Graphics Packaging for many years, retiring in August of 2009.

Nubs enjoyed watching his nephew Nick race car #28 at WIR Raceway, as well as many other tracks. In his earlier days, he and Donna enjoyed couples bowling league. He also loved watching his grandkids sporting events and helping coach in the ball leagues at Telulah Park, visiting his sister Barb at their cottage in Mountain, and visits to the casino.

He is survived by his wife Donna, Appleton; daughter, Kim (Rodney Knoke) Boldt, Green Bay; two sons: James E. (Jodi) Boldt, Kimberly and Timothy (Heather) Boldt, Fort Meyers, FL; 5 grandchildren: Halle and Lily Boldt, Jazmyn and Mason Boldt, and Branden Richert; 4 siblings: Thomas (Mary) Boldt, Grand Chute, Randy (Cindy) Boldt, Appleton, Barb (Ron) Brehm, Oconto Falls, and Alan (Cheri) Boldt, Appleton; 2 step-sons: Robert (Julie) Barker, Madison and Kirk (Chassidy) Barker, San Antonio, TX; 3 step-grandchildren: Caitlin and Cameron Barker, and Tori Tate-Barker; step-great-grandson, Beclan; and sister-in-law, Denny Boldt, Appleton. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers: Richard and Larry Boldt.

A memorial service will take place at 11 am on Saturday, December 13, at the Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Saturday the 13th from 9 am until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
