Norbert George Radle, 80, died peacefully surrounded by family, after a long battle with cancer (CLL), on Friday, August 22, 2025 in
Neenah, Wisconsin.
Norb was born on December 14, 1944, in Durand, Wisconsin, to George and Matilda (Bauer) Radle. He graduated from Arkansaw High School in 1963, where he participated in sports and music, and was valedictorian and prom king. Norb graduated from the University of Stout in 1967 with a BS in Industrial Education. He would also later achieve a Master of Business degree from Keller Institute in 1988. At Stout he was active in Symphonic Singers and many organizations. Norb married Maureen Pierick at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Madison, WI, on August 5th of 1967. For over 20 years they raised their family in Waukesha, Wisconsin where Norb was an Industrial Engineer for RTE, a transformer manufacturer. In 1992, Norb's job moved them to Mount Pleasant, SC and after a few years they were moved again to Toledo, Ohio working for what would become Bil-Jax scaffolding. In 2004 they returned to Wisconsin to the Fox Valley area. Notably Norb worked for a few years as a Schwan's delivery truck driver, and then at his last job, as Sales Manager for Malcore Foods in Appleton. For 8 years he worked throughout Wisconsin selling cheese products to grocery stores. Norb and Maureen enjoyed over 55 years of marriage before his passing.
Outside work, Norb loved both music and horticulture. He was active in church choir while in Waukesha and participated as a tenor in the Charleston Symphony Chorus while in South Carolina. He volunteered for the village of Fox Crossing where he received the 2023 Fox Crossing Parks & Recreation Volunteer of the Year. While there he helped transform the Rydell Conservancy into what it is today.
Norb especially loved landscaping his yard, gardening, biking, hiking, camping, travelling and exploring, and a good music festival. He also had a knack for finding the best bakery & ice cream wherever he lived. He deeply loved his grandchildren and cherished attending their sports and music performances.
He was known for his warm, kind, generous, and gentle manner by all. He lived his life as a reflection of his belief in Jesus Christ. Even with the challenges of life, he never gave up on his faith. He was also a loving and affectionate father and husband, never shy to give a hug when needed. He will be missed greatly by all.
Norbert is survived by his wife, Maureen; two sons: Eric Radle and Thomas (Lindsay) Radle; two brothers: Galen Radle and Harvey Radle; one sister, Lucille (Roy) Valitchka; his brothers-in-law: Mark (Lynn) Pierick and Michael Pierick; his grandchildren: Evan and Samuel Radle; as well as by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
