Noreen A. Howe passed away on June 8, 2024. She was born on January 9, 1936, in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada to Robert and Norah Wilson.
Noreen Graduated from Edmonds High School in the Class of 1954. She was a member of the Edmonds High School Jaycees Group, a branch of the United States Junior Chamber International, showcasing her early commitment to leadership and community service.
Noreen married Phillip L. Howe on August 20th, 1958 in Edmonds Washington, and together they co-owned a paint store in Edmonds, establishing themselves as a cornerstone of their local community. They had three children together: Bruce M. Howe, Bryan M. Howe, and Bobbi C. Howe. Despite her demanding work schedule, Noreen always found time for her most cherished roles-mother and grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy. Known for her friendly, happy, and outgoing nature, Noreen had an infectious smile that could light up any room. Her energetic spirit was matched by her love for beachcombing, RV camping, and passionately supporting her favorite sports teams, the Seattle Sounders and Seattle Mariners.
Noreen passed away peacefully in Lacey, Washington, surrounded by her loving family. Her lifelong devotion to her family and her unmatched enthusiasm for life leaves an indelible mark on those who knew her. Noreen is survived by her spouse Phillip L. Howe, her children Bruce M. Howe and Bobbi C. Howe, and four grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Robert Wilson and Norah Wilson as well as her son Bryan M. Howe.
A celebration of Noreen's life will be held at the Edmonds Waterfront Center, located at 220 Railroad Ave, Edmonds WA 98020, on August 10th, 2024, from 1 pm to 3 pm. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and remember the remarkable woman who touched so many lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Washington State Parks as Noreen was particularly fond of Birch Bay State Park. Ways to Give - Washington State Parks Foundation (waparks.org)
