Norma "Susan" Aniol (Momsen) passed away on May 12, 2024, at the age of 71. She was born on December 22, 1952, in Guthrie, OK, to her mother Opal "Tate" Momsen and her father Norman C Momsen where she resided throughout her life.
She is survived by her sons, Ricky Stone and Tommy Rodgers of Guthrie, daughter in law Melissa Stone of Texas, as well as her sister LouAnn Vance.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Aniol, her parents; Norman Momsen and Opal "Tate" Momsen, and sisters; Rila, MaryJane, Betty, and Marie.
Norma, or Susan as she was often called, married James Aniol in 1992. Norma delighted in her role as a grandmother to Adonis and Jacob Montgomery of Texas, Takoda Rodgers and Landon Rodgers of Oklahoma, Michael Sanders of Washington, along with numerous other great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Norma, known fondly as Susan, had a wide range of hobbies that brought her joy. She loved crochet, soap operas, arts and crafts, writing plays, and had a special appreciation for poetry. Her musical taste spanned from The Beatles and The Eagles to the Bee Gees and Blue Grass, while also cherishing church hymnal songs.
After working as a cook for many years, a herniated disk forced Norma to pursue her hobbies more passionately. However, her love for teaching children led her to become a cherished Children's Church teacher at West Warner Church of God from 1995 until 2020.
Norma's enthusiasm for sports was evident in her love for football, especially OU Sooners, the 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. She also enjoyed watching the Oklahoma City Thunder play in the NBA.
Throughout her life, Norma exemplified kindness and sociability, always smiling with a generous heart. She took pride in her role as a Children's Church teacher and valued the Golden Rule as her life motto. Norma's strong faith led her to be a longtime member of The Church of God in Guthrie, OK.
Norma "Susan" Aniol (Momsen) will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her warmth and love.
