Norma J. Erickson, age 85, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at home. Norma was born on February 10, 1939, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late George and Arthela (Floud) Wight. On July 9, 1960, she wed Robert A. Erickson.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, and canning her homegrown produce. Norma had a green thumb with plants. She loved caring for her plants and flowers, and feeding the birds.
Norma leaves to cherish her memory her children: Laura (James) Hood, Kevin Erickson, and Glen Erickson; grandson, Nathan Hood; siblings, Jane (Max) Hartner, Donald Wight, and James (Penny) Wight; sister-in-law, Janice Wight; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Erickson; brother, Robert Wight; granddaughter, Sarah Hood; and sister-in-law, Kathy Wight.
Norma's family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Hanlin Funeral Home in Vassar. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the funeral home; additional visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and last until the time of service. Norma will be laid to rest privately in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, Vassar.
