Norma P "Shorty" González, of Fort Worth, TX passed away on Friday, April 12th, 2024. She was born on November 17th, 1960, to Rogelio and Teresa Patiño in Del Rio, TX. Norma dedicated her life to being a loving wife and mother to her children. She enjoyed coloring, word finds, playing lotería and to sing and dance to her favorite music. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and being a grandmother. To receive a random call from her was not unusual as she loved to talk and laugh on the phone. Her personality was nothing short (as her stature). Though she was stubborn and feisty, more than anything she was loving and caring with a pure heart. Norma is preceded in death by her Father, Rogelio Patiño Sr, mother, Teresa Patiño, sister, Velma Patiño, brother, Juan Jose Patiño and brother, Rogelio Patiño Jr. Norma is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Jesus Javier González Sr, Daughter, Melissa and husband, David Mares. Son, Jesús J. González Jr and wife, Jocelyn. Grandchildren, Evelyn and Emryn Mares and Jaelyn and Jesse Gonzalez. Sister, Gema Hernández of San Angelo, Tx. Sister Frances and husband, Jose Martínez of Amarillo, Tx. Sister, Teresa and husband Jose Loera of Elkhart, Indiana. Brother, Melchor Patiño of Del Rio, Tx and Brother, Jose Angel Patiño of Del Rio, Tx. Including numerous nieces and nephews whom she cherished.
Norma will be deeply missed by her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace with our angels, Javier Mateo and Julianna González.
"Therefore, you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you." John 16:22
