Norma Hanks Obituary
Sue was a long-time very active member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Troy, serving on many committees, church board, the Women's Guild, quilt show and rummage sale to name a few. She was always ready to share a meal and conversation with her friends and family. Sue was a member of the Stage Depot Auxiliary of Post 976 and was a helping hand on Friday Night Fish Fries. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was always happiest when they were together.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. "June Bug" Hanks Jr.
Surviving is her daughter, Rhonda (Don) Clark of Troy, IL; her grandchildren, Adrienne (TJ) Fisk, and Donnie (Jennifer) Clark III; her great-grandchildren, Daphne and Russell Fisk, Rayne Smith, Lillie, Rowan, Raven and Declan Clark; and a host of friends and other relatives.

Visitation for Sue will be 10 am to 12 noon on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Friedens United Church of Christ.
Services will start at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Friedens UCC with Rev. Tim Harrison officiating. Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery.

Well its been almost a year since I lost my good friend Sue. She certainly was a pleasant person to be with. We were together "a lot." There isn't a day goes by that I wish she was still with us. She is surely missed by me but I know she's with the ones she loved, because she always spoke of them. Thoughts to Rhonda and her family as this day of remembrance will bring many memories.

We were shocked to hear about Sue. She will be missed a lot especially her smile. I do not think she met a stranger. Everybody was her "neighbor". We loved her and she loved everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult times!

Deepest sympathy to the family. Sue and I spent many years organizing different activities and we always carried each other over the finish line. Sue will truly be missed by all who knew her. Everyone will feel a void. Rest in Peace my friend. Diana Bauer
