Norma Babbin Horowitz, formerly of Armonk, New York, died peacefully on July 19, 2024 at The Greens of Greenwich. Norma was born May 16th, 1935 in New York, New York, to the late Belle and Abraham Babbin. She was a graduate of Calhoun High School and Vasaar College 1956 receiving her BA in Mathematics.
Norma was the beloved wife of the late David Horowitz and the loving mother of Steven Horowitz, married to Amy, Fran Bonadies, married to Michael, and Stan Horowitz, married to Rachel.
Mimi was the devoted grandmother of Andrew Horowitz and Aisling Murphy, Jeffrey Horowitz and Alison Meyers, Leah Horowitz, Harris Horowitz, Sarah Horowitz, Abigail Bonadies and Matthew Bonadies. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Kathleen Babbin and many nieces and nephews.
Norma's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid painter, needlepointer and knitter - her walls were always covered by countless paintings and needlepoints while dressing her children and grandchildren in beautiful and ornate sweaters.
Norma will be laid to rest at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday July 21 at graveside service at Kensico Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, New York followed by a celebration of her life at Ristorante Lucia 454 Old Post Road Bedford N.Y. 10506.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Greens at Greenwich.
Her life was a blessing to all that knew her and she will be dearly missed.
